A Young Mother, on Hope

Appalachian State graduate student Leslie Peeler, 23, shares her story of having a young pregnancy, how the Hope Pregnancy Center of Boone continues to provide support and how her daughter Emeri keeps her going each day. Hope is a faith-based non-profit organization committed to empowering young women like Peeler with unplanned pregnancies to thrive. Peeler is an applicant this year for the "Yes She Can" scholarship, one of many scholarships the center offers for female Appalachian State students who wish to continue their education during pregnancy.
